The Electronics sector of the EVolt Racing UFRPE team is responsible for developing the vehicle monitoring systems, and consequently, the data acquisition, processing and transmission systems. In this way, it makes it possible to systematically analyze the performance of the car, in which one of its main responsibilities is the development of the BMS (Battery Management System), which evaluates the charging and discharging processes of the batteries, as well as the management and monitoring of its indicators to ensure efficient performance.
The Protection sector of the EVolt Racing UFRPE team is responsible for personal safety, having as main objective the development of the vehicle shutdown circuit, which in turn will be responsible for protecting the vehicle as soon as an electrical failure occurs. The shutdown has the purpose of completely shutting down the car, decoupling the accumulator from the traction system.
In addition, to ensure the safety of team members, this sector is also responsible for knowing and applying the Regulatory Norms during workshop activities.
